Floods are brutal! One week before Christmas 07 Catherine Nicole and Bjorn were away on vacation and we got a call from the police asking us if we were the parents of CNicole ! Talk about a freak out! You can imagine the images running through the mind of a mother in that few milliseconds... It was a relief to hear that it was ONLY a flood! A neighbour had spotted a frozen waterfall coming out their upstairs window, called the police and they had broken into the home to turn the water off.
We rushed over and it was definitely overwhelming! The flood began on the top floor and caused damage in the master, the master bath, the kitchen and main floor bath, and the basement held the pool.
We elected not to phone them (why ruin a perfectly good vacation when there's nothing they could do from thousands of miles away?) and started the insurance process.
The insurance co. was great- plug for Chris Law!- and got right at it, but it was still a ton of upheaval for them . My heart went out to you when I heard. You must be going crazy cramped up and climbing all over each other! And everything seems to take onger thanpromised, doesn't it?!
Laura is right though, you can do it! I've seen you! Just try to pace yourself, Kiddo. Balance is always the biggest challenge don't you think?
