I'm a big advocate for using a free online list manager called &lt;a href="http://www.backpackit.com/" rel="nofollow"&gt; Backpack&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a&gt;.

Hope you will check out my &lt;/a&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.sparkleize.com/?p=11" rel="nofollow"&gt;Guide to Pain-Free Packing&lt;/a&gt;&lt;a&gt;, which offers a template packing list for readers to adapt to their own needs!

One of my packing tips is to emulate those clever Europeans and pack black or other neutral clothing pieces you can mix up and use across many different occasions and settings.
