My biggest problem area in my home is my living room. It is the first room people walk into when they visit and my 2 year old’s toys are everywhere. I have not found a way to keep all of his toys and books organized–and there are a ton of them. Also, the coffee and end tables become a dumping ground as my husband walks in too.

I would have to say that right now my biggest organizational challenge is paperwork. I hate it and it takes up so much space. I’m thinking about going paperless, just scanning and then shredding everything, but I’m not quite that brave yet.
March 7th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
My biggest organizational challenge is my bedroom closet. Its very…ummm…busy in there!
Love your blog and hope you are enjoying the party!

TOYS! Can I just say I was THRILLED when I found this site, mostly because I saw you have little kids! People with little kids around have a whole new set of organizational challenges. I have 3 as well, aged 4, 3 & 1. My organizational challenge is TOYS. We don’t have alot, but we have even less space, and I just hate the look of them! I try to rotate toys a bit, but keeping the doctor set, the dress-ups, the train set, the doll gear all separate, is impossible! I don’t know what to do other than throw them all in a big old basket and let the kids have at ‘em!
March 7th, 2008 at 11:10 pm
My homeschool area!! UGH! I have pencils, glue sticks, workbooks and everything EVERYWHERE
March 8th, 2008 at 12:08 am
We just built a new (and our first) house, so what part DOESN’T need organizing?! Can you come to Texas and help me?
My closet definitely needs the most help. I have enough clothes, shoes and handbags for at least 10 grown women.
Party on!

I’m packing up a small apartment and have to leave some stuff out and still have boxes around. Ugh. I’m dreading it. I would love some tips and am glad for the open area for Q&As!

Very cool blog! I love what you are up to. Hmmm, problem area? Paper clutter. You know, small house, 2 businesses, homeschool, etc. I know that I just need to police them routinely / habitually…Help! I’m in need of new inspiration.
Happy blog partying!
Stop by my blog and say hi. Also, my web-site has many recipes and a wonderful resource page, if I do say so myself!

Love the idea behind this blog!
Hmmm…what are DON’T I need organization help?! But I guess my main area right now would be what another commenter mentioned…my home school room. But not just our school supplies need organizing, but this room ends up being a catch-all for other items too.
Plus worksheets seem to multiply faster than I can organize them. Until we are able to purchase a larger home, I need to find a better system for dealing with school items, and extra toys and clothes that somehow find their way in!
Hope you can stop by and say hi at my party, too!

Hi! Happy to join you at the party! Truth be told, I have MANY areas that could use help with organization! But, I think my number one need would be my desk. It really can turn into a big mess and I need to do something about it!
March 9th, 2008 at 8:42 am
ONE of the biggest area in my house is our laundry area. We have our washer and dryer behing sliding doors in the hallway upstairs. There is little area for organization. 4 cupboards above the machines, but no place for dirty laundry and folding afterwards. We tend to pull stuff out of the dryer, put it into a laundry basket and it sits! Any help would be appreciated!

My jewlery, cant seem to get it right! Tangles in a pile, ahhh the frustration!
March 9th, 2008 at 3:36 pm
What part of my home needs organization? Wow! The whole thing, I am spending too much time bloggin and not enough time cleaning.
Happy partying,
Cindy

My closet Maja- HELP! I don’t have room for all my winter clothes and summer clothes to be in the closet/ dresser at the same time so I have to rotate them. But then I don’t know where to put the off-season clothes.
Add to that the maternity clothes and the bigger clothes for the adjustment period after the baby and holy cow I have a lot of clothes.
Plus I have a shoe fetish, so my closet bulges. Help!

Oooh, podcasts on organizing?! How fun!!
Quite honestly, my husband “organizes” me all the time, which drives me nuts because this uusally means he puts things away and I can never find anything! GRR.
However, one area he doesn’t touch, and the one area in the house that needs work, is my desk. It’s a corner desk with no drawers, so I have a file cabinet I keep all of my junk in. However, it would be so nice to come up with a system where I can keep all of my stuff within arm’s reach as opposed to across the room reach. lol
Thanks for opening your doors to us and have fun at the party!

I battle clutter on an every-day basis so I’ll be bookmarking this site and listening to the podcast - I think my main problem is that I’m overwhelmed so I avoid the issue and it just gets worse
March 11th, 2008 at 10:10 am
I need help with my husbands’ piles of papers..he says it is his way of organizing…but it makes me crazy…love your site..will be back
March 11th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
My problem room is definitely our office. With three computers and little space otherwise, the clutter constantly approaches the desktops. Hmm…my laundry room could use some work too lol!
March 11th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
Okay, so it’s not really IN the house, but the garage at our place defenitely needs an overhaul. EVERYTHING just gets shoved in there, like our 3 strollers and luggage, bikes, etc. I dream of having those storage racks over the car (yep, only 1 car fits…).
Thanks for the chance to win & great blog!
March 11th, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Well, I can only list one problem area? I’m going with the kitchen because it’s the most visible area! I have a chip and dip bowl currently filled with junk. Papers everywhere. A cookbook holder that is only half filled with cookbooks! We just naturally put everything in the kitchen and can’t seem to take it all out when we don’t need it anymore!
Thansk for the giveaway and enjoy the week of partying! =)

My problem is my studio! I can not organize all the color , pencils, papers, camera, book… that place is driving me insane!!!!
March 12th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Great post! Hope your enjoying the party! I’ve been meeting tons of new people! Hope to try to visit at least half of them before Friday! You never know when you may meet a forever friend. Pop by for a visit if you get a chance! Enjoy your day!
March 12th, 2008 at 10:30 pm
My entire place needs help, but the worse are the closets. If I don’t wear jeans and a tshirt, it takes me forever to go through the closet and put together an outfit.
March 13th, 2008 at 12:22 pm
My closet….I want, I want I want to get a nice system and built-ins and drawers…I love closet organizer and trying to save money to have one installed.
March 13th, 2008 at 4:33 pm
Oh, I need to subscribe to your feed. Especially after yesterday and the great “reclaim my craft closet” project. Thanks for hosting the party!

I’ve given up trying to get to every blog.
Neat site! My daughter wants to be a “professional organizer” when she grows up. My closet is a rainbow - but I don’t have any excuse for the school room! How about “need more furniture?” and “Need more money?” LOL
Nice to run in to you at the party before the clock strikes 12!
Better get back to my carriage before it turns in to a pumpkin!

Well, for starters I live in a very small two bedroom apartment with my boyfriend and our 11 month old son Tristan and we just don’t have room for anything!!! The room we need to get organized the most would probably be OUR bedroom, the door stays closed all the time because there is never time to clean…were talking clothes, clothes, more clothes, and baby stuff. So count me in on the giveaway. Also signed up for your newsletter.
Stop by my blog and say hi!

My kitchen pantry needs help. It is not MY top priority, but I think it would make my family very happy indeed!
March 16th, 2008 at 12:55 pm
Biggest challenge??? For me it’s all the artwork my girls create on their own and bring home from their various church activities. My refrigerator door is only so big and I’m constantly juggling it all to keep it from looking like a mess. They are so proud of their work and I want to display it for at least a week or so, but it comes in faster than I can deal with it! Help!!!
March 17th, 2008 at 12:09 am
Closets in general.. My closet and also my sons.. i just hate having to store all the clothes he outgrows and how to organize it all..help!!
March 17th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
We just moved so I was able to organize most spaces. The one that I am completely stumped on is the office/sewing room. I have the space but just can’t seem to get it to flow correctly. I’ve listened to your podcasts and taken some great suggestions from them. Keep them coming!
Thanks!
March 18th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
Maja, I love that you have a website, and I’m sad that it’s taken me this long to view it!! Plus secretly I was wishing you’d auction off at the enrich act. some personal Maja tips in someone’s home, you know all my money would have gone straight to that. Well truth be told, my eyesore to me in my home is the closed drawer where we put anything to do with computer stuff, like usb cords, blank dvds, cds and like 12 things of scotch tape?!

Oh… my crafting area is such an imagination dream turned nightmare. From scrapbook paper, to brads, to all the things I just can’t throw away… because I know they will be just perfect for a project sometime soon. And oh, all the photos that need to be labeled, filed or scrapbooked. My creativity is definitely being stunted.
