Ok, I’m lovin the Holiday Notebook idea Maja. I’m motivated to rush out and get a really pretty one that I can keep everything in. I am going to print off a small calendar and glue it in the inside cover as well to keep my dates straight.
I agree with June, I’ve always thought you had a beautiful voice. I’d never heard the story before about your voice as a child!! It’s a good thing you’re podcasting and sharing now or I wouldn’t know these important details.
Can’t wait for your next holiday tips and shows!

Great tips! I know that I’ve had to do my best to be organized since the majority of my gifts are going in the mail! The number system is good. One year my mum decided to use it since we would all shake our presents and guess (and usually guess correctly). With the numbers we didn’t know which gift was for who which made guessing a lot more tricky. The only thing that went wrong was that everything was still numbers Christmas morning. My dad was stuck trying to get a gift to each of us 4 kids in order from youngest to oldest just by searching for a number! It was a really long Christmas morning and although it is a good way to extend all the gift opening fun for us anxious kids who had waited months for that special day it was practically torture! Lesson: Ensure the gifts are address to the recipient by Christmas morning!! Love the list making idea! And the planning things out on the calendar. I’m going to have to sit down with December and get things a little bit more organized! I feel so motivated and capable AND Savvy! Thanks Maja.

Thank you so much for the Christmas notebook idea. I started a gift spreadsheet this year which has made things so much easier. I used to get caught up in the hype of the stores and could not remember who I had bought for and always ended up buying more than I originally intended. Also it helps to go through my gift closet in November to figure out if I have tucked away a gift for someone already. I feel much more relaxed this season with my list on hand. Thank you for all your great tips.

Miss Five - I LOVE that idea!! That is so great to include everyone in it and make sure they all have a say! So, so smart. Jennifer - That is also a brilliant idea to go through your gift closet in November! It is so easy to forget what you have stashed in there! It will make shopping a lot less expensive this year. Katie - that was so funny with the numbers on Christmas Day - that is something I could totally see my family doing. And Daria - that is a great idea to put a calendar on the inside of your notebook - you are going to be on top of your game this season!

I have to say that the first couple of ideas you had about lists and food prep I already did months ago! (My husbands just laughs at me, I try to be well prepared) I never thought about a specific notebook for Christmas though, I love that. And the stackable gifts idea is brilliant. I love it. Thanks for the great ideas!
