Show #3 - The Mantra (this is the KEY!)

Of all the shows we’ll likely be doing on The Savvy Organizer, this is definitely the most important one. In fact, if you ever get stuck in the upcoming months, take a deep breath and refer back to this episode.
In today’s show Maja shares “The Mantra”, a saying that will help you to simplify even the most difficult of organizing dilemma’s.
Please listen to the show this week and leave a comment or question. Then we invite you to share this with your friends, blog about it and link back to us. Let’s get the word out on The Savvy Organizer and help each other to find freedom in our days and peace in our homes. We can do it!

Hi Maja and thank you so much for your amazing show. I’ve listened to a few organizing shows before, but yours is by far the best. I love your natural approach.
I am hopeless at organization and am eager to learn. I’m going to try your Mantra this week when I tackle my kids playroom. Pray for me!

Wow! Thank you both so much for your comments! I am glad that you found the show helpful. Just remember: Top to Bottom, Left to Right, FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS!! Tammy let me know how the playroom went. June, I have a funny story about my voice that I will quickly tell the next show. Thanks again for your feedback!

You are speaking my language! I am sorry I haven’t tuned in sooner!!! I want to listen to this show again and again! I loved it! When we made our big move from Calgary to Denver I was so determined to rid myself of lots of stuff. I managed to giveaway these bears that my Gramma had given me during my childhood years. I had like 15 or something. I totally think that it’s important to just get rid of that sentimental stuff! What’s the point in having it if it’s just going to sit in a box in a closet where no one sees it? I think I drove my MIL crazy as I purged myself of all of the stuff I had pack ratted. I sure didn’t feel bad though! It’s like losing weight. It feels good to purge. For some, it’s good to have a clutter buddy to help them see the unimportance of something. Sometimes it’s handy to have someone there that has no emotional attachment to encourage the purge. THANK YOU MAJA! I’ll let you know how my new super organizing skills affect my life!

Maja, I have always believed that everyone and everything that comes into your life does so for a reason… at one time, I thought that you were an absolute angel because you did such a fantastic job covering for me while I took time off from work. But now I think that maybe the real reason you came into my life was to help deliver me from my own chaos and clutter!
You are amazing - keep up the great work!

Holy Hollie!! Thanks so much for saying that!! Seriously, you just made my day. But really, I can’t wait to hear your progress - I know that you can do it!!!

I love the system of organizing, using boxes or laundry baskets and dealing with an item when you pick it up. I listened to your show and the next day as I was cleaning our front room (which unfortunately is also the toy room, the book room, the piano room, the EVRYTHING room) I didn’t get boxes out but I did make piles. I sorted everything, putting things away that belonged in that room first. One trip to the office, one to the bedroom, one to my son’s room, one to the bathroom (to put things away) and one to the garbage. It was amazing how much time I saved just doing one trip to each room instead of back and forth with a few things each time. I was very pleased with the results, so thank you Maja!
Being pregnant the less I have to get up and down off the floor is such a bonus!
